Recently, YouTube asked video-makers to use the platform’s software for tagging and tracking products in their videos. Then, this data will be linked to Google’s analytics and shopping tools. The idea is to create a vast product catalog for viewers and give them the possibility to browse it and make purchases during watching video content. Moreover, Google is testing Shopify integration for selling products on YouTube.

eBay Partners with Google’s Assistant

eBay becomes one of the first eCommerce companies to integrate with Google’s Assistant for voice shopping. This collaboration will facilitate end-to-end shopping experiences for Android users as, from now, they can blend voice querying with the eBay app. By using voice commands, users can find a specific item on eBay, see their watch list and purchase history page, open the app and search for a query.

Shopping Cart in Instagram’s IGTV and Reels

Instagram is expanding IGTV and Reels functionality by implementing shopping opportunities. From now on, creators and brands can tag products in their videos for quick purchase without leaving the app. This feature is already available in IGTV. Reels will get it later this year after tests. Moreover, Instagram is testing commercials in IGTV to share ad revenue with content creators.

Tone Helps eCommerce Brands Text with Customers

While the prevailing part of online stores relies on chatbots for communication with customers, Tone is betting that only humans can provide a good user experience when it comes to communication. The Boston-based company has already raised $4 million in seed funding to help online brands text with customers. Tone provides online brands with specialists that can text with customers 24/7. These human agents engage, educate, and convert visitors into customers with fast text conversations.  Tone’s texting app can be installed for Shopify and Magento users.

A B2B Marketplace for Cybersecurity by Apptega

Apptega, a platform that provides cybersecurity and compliance software, launches CyberXchange, a B2B cybersecurity marketplace. The marketplace has an AI engine that maps leading cybersecurity products and services (over 10,000 categories), helping organizations to find and buy products they need without ad hoc searching and guesswork.

USPS Releases Holiday Shipping Deadlines

The U.S Postal Service has released holiday shipping deadlines for 2020. USPS expects Dec. 14 to be the busiest day with more than 13 million users on Usps.com. Besides holiday shipping deadlines USPS has provided a list of tips for successful holiday shipping season and mailing.

WooCommerce merchants can install a new Voice Shopping WordPress plugin developed by Speak2web. The plugin provides online shoppers with a voice shopping experience from product search through checkout. Customers can now use voice commands to search, add to cart, check out, etc.

Braze Provides Multi-Cloud Support with Microsoft Azure

A customer engagement platform Braze announced product and partnership updates. First of all, Braze added Microsoft Azure to the list of the supported cloud services. Also, Braze improved its default reporting capabilities with new Report Builder and Funnel Reports. Report Builder allows brands to compare the results of their campaigns directly in Braze. Funnel Report is designed to visualize conversion’s drop-offs for further marketing funnel optimization.
