MagentoLive Europe 2019 started for our team on 20th October as we arrived one day before the contribution day. We spent it walking through Amsterdam, admiring its narrow streets and canals. We should thank Magento for such a wonderful location of the event.

Day 0

Amsterdam is the city of contrasts. It was the thing our team liked the most. Medieval city center neighbors with futuristic and modern architecture. That was impressive. I won’t waste time telling you how we spent this day but just share with you some photos.

Keep for updates. I’ll write more comprehensive travel blog the next week.

Contribution Day & PWA United

Despite Contribution Day our team visited PWA United and Magento Certified Solution Specialist Prep Workshop.

PWA United was organized by Deity B.V in partnership with Google Nederland B.V. and BigCommerce Ltd. The event was held in Google’s office what pleased our SEO and Marketing Specialist.

During the event, Google shared its best practices, from performance to PWA, and how they helped retailers to succeed. This session was full of case studies and networking time.

During the Magento Certified Solution Specialist Prep Workshop, Joseph Maxwell (President Swiftotter, Inc.) covered all the topics of the Magento 2 Certified Solution Specialist exam:

  • eCommerce
  • Magento Architecture
  • Magento Admin & Storefront
  • Business & Applications
  • Catalog

Day 1

On the first day of MagentoLive Europe, our team was focused on networking rather than on keynotes. The prevailing party of the team found Closing the Mobile Commerce Gap session the most exciting. The session was sponsored by PayPal and covered the following topics:

  • Tactics to drive mobile conversions
  • Mobile trends from around the globe
  • Tips to build a cohesive omnichannel presence
  • Winning strategies to optimize Magento2 Commerce

Opening Keynotes essentials:

  • Magento Commerce 2.3.3 and Magento Open Source 2.3.3 Availability
  • Adobe Stock Integration
  • Product Recommendations Powered by Adobe Sensei
  • Magento Commerce on Microsoft Azure

The first day of the event ended up with a crazy party at Beurs van Berlage.

Day 2

Despite attending the party everyone woke up early and continued strengthening yesterday’s connections. The closing keynotes were full of awesome case studies:

  • Nestle’s Magento Digital Growth Strategy
  • Gazelle’s Omnichannel Marketing Strategy

Joost Rigter’s speech was the cherry on top. Almost blind entrepreneur put the whole MagentoLive into the total darkness and told us how to accept ourself and stay positive in spite of everything. It was the most emotional moment of the whole event.

Wrapping Out

Two days of the event have proved that Magento is the leading eCommerce platform that quickly adapts to the market changes satisfying merchants’ and developers’ needs. Moreover, it’s hard to imagine a better opportunity for networking and we took advantage of it. Adobe and Magento are moving in the right direction. The best is still to come!
