The client has an online store that sells electrical, cordless and power tools, garden equipment, tool accessories, kitchen utensils, etc. The store offers more than 50000 products and operates in Europe.
When you click on several products in a catalog, you’re redirected to the search results page.
This problem essentially impacts the UX as it doesn’t let customers land on product pages. If they can’t buy the desired product, they choose a competitor. We had to find the root problem of these redirects and fix it.
The questions we focused on were:
- Is it just a reindex issue?
- Why are pages of certain products not opening?
- How can you find such problematic pages in the future?
